He has been turnover-prone and caught out of position too often, leading to a team-worst minus-17 rating. Team captain Nicklas Lidstrom offered some simple advice to Ericcson, who returned to the lineup after being scratched the previous two games. "The one thing I said the most is keep it simple, don't do things too difficult or hang onto the puck too long because players are quick in this league, they're going to get you," Lidstrom said. "So make the easy play and then as you get into the game you feel more comfortable and confidence rises."
